  • Sellers reviews offers and accepts contract from Buyers

  • Escrow is opened and preliminary title report is ordered

  • Buyers lender orders appraisal (if offer is financed)

  • Closing documents are compiled by Escrow

  • Sellers schedule appointment with Escrow to sign documents

  • Documents are recorded

  • Escrow disburses funds to Sellers

  • Sellers Realtor hands keys over to Buyers Realtor

Moving Checklist

Address Change:

  • give forwarding address to post office

  • change charge accounts, credit cards, subscriptions

Utility Companies:

  • notify gas, electric, water, telephone, garbage, alarm company, cable company of cancellation or change of service address

  • return cable boxes

Don’t forget to:

  • double check closets, drawers, shelves to be sure they are empty

  • leave old keys, garage door openers, instruction manuals needed by new owner

  • have new address recorded on drivers license and car registration
